World Class Surfing

At the southern end of Las Perlas property is a surfer’s haven. Considered one of the best surf locations in Nicaragua, the area is uncrowded and the surfing has been described as “world class.” In fact, the wave was just featured on the front page of Surfing Magazine in February of 2010! “Hemorrhoids,” as the wave has been named, is a hollow, super fast left point breaking over a shallow reef that works well on a high tide. On a big swell, you better bring your A game, as it is absolutely incredible!

Just five minutes north of the condos is the Asuchillo beach break, which has a number of A frame peaks that you can choose from. Asuchillo works with swell, pumping out beautiful almond shaped barrels. This break is fun for all surfing abilities, experienced and/or beginners. We also benefit from over 250 days of offshore winds created by Nicaragua’s lakes.

Surfing lessons and rentals

Individual lessons (1-2 persons, minimum 2 hours): $40.00 US per person per hour
Group lessons (3-5 Persons, 2 hours): $150.00 US total
Surf Board rental Full Day: $20.00 US
Surf Board rental Half Day: $12.00 US
